Dear Students
How Recent Measures Will Affect Lessons At The Pi Lab
Last Updated: 25 October 2021, 1.00PM
As of 25 October 2021, the Ministry of Education has yet to release the new directives for private enrichment centres.
Based on our phone conversation with them, the present directives will be expected to continue until further instructions from the ministry. We expect that the directives will be extended minimally until 21 November 2021 under the Stabilisation Phase.
If there are any changes prior to 21 November 2021, we will keep you informed accordingly.
While lessons for students aged 12 and below at tuition and enrichment centres may resume face-to-face from 11 October, there will be strict Safe Management Measures in place.
This is including but not limited to organising students into groups of no more than 2 students with a minimum of 1 m safe distancing.
Due to the physical constraints of our classrooms, we are regrettably not able to resume the hybrid learning arrangement (alternate onsite/digital lessons) at this point.
Here’s What Will Happen:
Given how quickly the situation is developing locally, we will be adopting the Ministry of Education’s directives:
- The Centre will continue conducting all courses (regular classes & workshops) digitally via Zoom until 21 November 2021 (Sunday).
- These measures may be further extended, depending on the directive given by the Ministry of Health & Ministry of Education.
By default, parents can expect their children to attend our classes digitally until further notice.
Next Steps:
📌 Parents with children enrolled in our regular classes can expect an email update from us by 2PM, 21 November 2021 (Sunday) if an extension after 21 November 2021 is deemed necessary.
📌 Parents with children enrolled in our workshops have been notified upon registration that their workshops will be conducted digitally, unless the Safe Management Measures are lifted enough for us to accommodate onsite students.
Rest assured that we’ll keep you updated as soon as possible via Email and/or WhatsApp message, in the event that there are any other operational updates.
Thank you for your kind understanding & stay safe! 😊

Starting 21st July 2021, All Lessons Will Be Conducted Digitally.

Revised In-Class Seating Arrangement
As much as possible, we will attempt to assign onsite classes across all of our classrooms in the other units on the same level to avoid intermingling between students.
Entry/exit timings of all students will also be staggered.

Disinfection Between Classes & Regular, Extensive Sanitisation Efforts
We have also stepped up our sanitisation efforts in classrooms and common areas with the use of NEA-approved professional cleaners.
Deep cleaning by fogging non-toxic, skin-friendly chemicals has also been scheduled on a weekly basis.

Use of Masks

Easy Access to Sanitisers

Safe Distancing Control In Common Areas
As much as possible, parents who are picking up their children should make pick-up arrangements at Level 1 to avoid crowding the waiting areas.
